It was a great pleasure to welcome participants from all over the world to the 10th International Conference on Frontotemporal 2016 in Munich/Germany. The ICFTD 2016 has been the most important opportunity for clinicians, researchers, and trainees of various backgrounds and disciplines to share their knowledge with the goal to improve the care for patients with FTD. In the meeting the participants refreshed their knowledge in epidemiology, clinical diagnosis, neuropsychology, neuroimaging, neuropathology, genetics, cell biology, animal models and management for their daily practice in patient care. The conference has gone hand in hand with the Educational Workshop: Primary Progressive Aphasia as well as the International FTD Caregiver Conference 2016 who has been a forum for discussion.
